PINELLAS PARK A 41-year-old woman was fatally injured by a vehicle Wednesday morning while using her phone as she tried to cross 49th Street N, according to Pinellas Park police.

Witnesses told investigators that Danielle Harb of St. Petersburg was looking at her cell phone as she crossed the road and was not paying attention to her surroundings when the incident took place at about 6:40 a.m.

Harb was attempting to walk across 49th Street N from east to west between 86th and 90th Avenues. Then she was struck by a 2016 Dodge Challenger, driven by 29-year-old Christine Crawford of Pinellas Park, as it traveled north on 49th Street, police said.
