Police: St. Petersburg teen stabs boyfriend with kitchen knife

ST. PETERSBURG ó A 17-year-old girl stabbed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife after they had an argument, police said.

Diamond Stukes and her boyfriend, Darius Matthews, 18, were at a friendís house in the 700 block of 15th Street S Sunday morning and had an ongoing argument.

Shortly before noon, Stukes stabbed Matthews with a kitchen knife, St. Petersburg Police Department spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez said.

Matthews was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he is in critical but stable condition, according to a release from the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Stukes was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, the agency reported.
