Woman fatally shot outside Pinellas Park City Hall

PINELLAS PARK — A woman was killed Monday night in a shooting outside City Hall, according to Pinellas Park police.

The shooting took place along the 5100 block of 78th Avenue at about 9:55 p.m., police said.

Police say the unidentified woman was at the Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center for a gathering when she became involved in an altercation with another person in the parking lot.

The victim tried to run away but was chased and shot in the street, police said. She died at the scene.

A search for a suspect continues.
