ST. PETERSBURG — A man police say pistol-whipped and robbed a couple last month on the Pinellas Trail, then fled to Georgia, was returned Sunday to custody in Florida.
Germaine "Bolt" Davansha Small, 18, was being held on $250,000 bail at the Pinellas County Jail after being extradited from Henry County, Ga.
U.S. marshals found him hiding in a relative's attic in Lithonia, Ga., earlier this month.
On Feb. 21, Small and an accomplice robbed at gunpoint a man and a woman biking along the trail around Eighth Avenue S and 46th Street, police said.
During the robbery, Small struck the woman on her face with the butt of the handgun, knocking out several teeth, police said.
