ST. PETERSBURG — Police are looking for a man who rammed his silver Acura into a police cruiser and another vehicle late Wednesday during a traffic stop.

Police Sgt. Randy Morton tried pulling the man over for an unspecified traffic offense in the parking lot of the Sunset Meat Market, 4811 11th Ave. S, about 11:45 p.m.

Instead, police say, the man backed his car into Morton's cruiser. Morton was not injured, but his cruiser sustained minor damage.

The man drove off and lost control of his vehicle at Eight Avenue S and 38th Street, where he hit another vehicle. Its occupants had minor injuries, but declined treatment.

The Acura then hit a fence at 38th Street to 11th Avenue S before driving away.

Police have not named a suspects.
