Pasco County Animal Services removed four dogs and 17 cats from a Spring Hill residence on Wednesday, a county spokesman said.

The animals were processed into the county's Animal Services shelter in Land O' Lakes, at 19640 Dogpatch Lane, and being checked to determine their health conditions, the spokesman said in a news release.

The owner was helpful during the investigation and voluntarily surrendered the animals, officials said.

The owner was issued a citation for failing to vaccinate against rabies.

Anyone who would like to adopt these or other animals from the shelter can contact Animal Services at (352) 521-5194.
