Another suspect charged in Pasco home invasions

SPRING HILL — Another suspect has been arrested in a string of armed home invasion robberies from November.

Charles Benjamin Cardinal, 26, was the latest to be named in the crimes that authorities have been investigating for about two months. A Pasco County Sheriff's Office report says he drove the getaway car Nov. 23 after Alvin Wright and another masked man beat a woman in her Port Richey home and stole money, medications, jewelry and a TV.

Deputies discovered that the orange Ford Ranger pickup seen in surveillance video fleeing the crime scene is registered to Cardinal's father.

Wright and others were charged in that robbery and two more that happened before and afterward.

Cardinal of 15415 Nada Court was arrested at his home on a charge of being an accessory to armed home invasion robbery. He remained Friday in the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
