Felon from Pinellas impersonated U.S. marshal, police say

A 32-year-old felon was arrested Sunday morning, accused of illegally having several guns at his home and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Douglas Paul Sollenberger of 17100 Gulf Blvd., No. 239, North Redington Beach, was arrested about 6 a.m. and police confiscated ammunition, three semiautomatic handguns and a .357 Magnum revolver, Indian Shores police said. Sollenberger, who was convicted of aggravated stalking in Hillsborough County in 2000, is not permitted to own firearms.

He was also arrested on two counts of openly carrying a firearm and one count of impersonating an officer. He was arrested on 14 charges, including several counts of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
