ST. PETERSBURG — Police responded shortly after midnight Friday to a shooting in the 600 block of Central Avenue.
A unidentified male had been shot in the shoulder, witnesses said. His injuries were not life-threatening, St. Petersburg police said.
A witness said there had been an altercation between two groups of people right before the shooting. But police would release no further information Saturday.
