ST. PETERSBURG — Police are looking for a woman who they say stole a man's credit card and personal identification number, then used them to steal more than $2,000 in 17 ATM transactions.

Robert Joseph Smith, 28, said he met the woman in the BayWalk courtyard June 14, according to St. Petersburg police. He offered to buy the woman some food and discovered he didn't have any money. He went to an ATM near Jannus Landing and used his credit card to withdraw some money.

At some point, police say, the woman obtained Smith's credit card and PIN. She used the card at several places in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties and has been captured on surveillance video, which police released to the public Tuesday.

Police say the suspect appears to be a black woman in her mid 30s with a medium build. If you recognize her, call the St. Petersburg Police Communication Center at (727) 893-7780.
