Palm Harbor man accused of punching pregnant wife on Baltimore-Tampa plane

TAMPA — A Palm Harbor man faces federal charges that he punched, pinched and bit his pregnant wife during a Tampa-bound flight from Baltimore.

An affidavit filed in U.S. District Court states David Henry Wysocki II, 28, became physically and verbally abusive shortly after boarding an AirTran Airways flight Wednesday.

FBI agent Sarah C. Graving gave the following account of the incident:

After boarding flight 490, Wysocki began yelling at his wife, Amanda Primrose, and her two children, ages 9 and 14, firing off multiple expletives and threatening to kill her when the plane landed.

About 15 minutes into the flight, Wysocki began punching Primrose, who is 81/2 months pregnant, in the left side of her abdomen. He also pinched and bit her left arm, leaving a 2-inch bruise and teeth marks, and cursed at the children.

Flight attendants moved Primrose and the children to another part of the plane. Wysocki followed, but the attendant told him to return to his seat. Wysocki complied only after a flight attendant threatened to restrain him with handcuffs.

The flight attendant alerted the captain, who requested police be at the gate when the plane landed at Tampa International Airport. Wysocki is charged with committing assault on a plane in flight and interfering with flight crew members.
