Man shot on St. Petersburg street corner likely to recover

ST. PETERSBURG — A 28-year-old man was shot early Thursday on a St. Petersburg street corner, authorities say.

Police got a call at 3:11 a.m. reporting a shooting at 25th Avenue N and Fourth Street. His injuries were not thought to be life threatening, and the man who shot him ran away, according to police reports. There are no suspects.

The injured man's name has not been released, and his condition is unknown.
