TAMPA — They caught him orange-handed.

Early Monday, a 45-year-old man was arrested after police said he broke into two businesses and stole Cheetos, Little Debbie Donut Sticks and $15.

George Anthony Allen, of 1619 E Idell St., was nabbed at about 2:45 a.m. on burglary charges as he walked down E Hillsborough Avenue with the stolen goods.

The first burglary happened about 1:30 a.m. at La Rumbita, 7801 N Nebraska Ave. Police said Allen smashed a glass window and took $15 from the cash register.

About 45 minutes later, police said the same man broke into the Family Dollar at 6006 N Nebraska Ave. with another man, Whitney Rashad Newsome, 22, of 2610 E 29th Avenue.

Police said Allen stole a box of the Little Debbie snacks and a bag of Cheetos. Before leaving, police said Allen ripped open a candy bar and ate it.

Allen and Newsome were taken to the Hillsborough County Jail in lieu of $4,000 and $2,000 bail, respectively.
