HUDSON — A Clearwater probation officer was arrested Sunday evening on accusations that she attacked her estranged husband.

According to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report, Wendy Miller Jack, 40, a senior probation officer with the Department of Corrections, drove to her husband's parents' home in Hudson and "began kicking him in the testicles repeatedly" during an argument.

She was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. Jack remained in the Land O'Lakes jail Monday evening.

The couple separated six months ago, and the husband stayed with his parents, according to the report.

Jack told deputies the two had gone out for drinks earlier Sunday. She came by her in-laws to speak with her husband, found him on the phone, and an argument ensued when he wouldn't show her who he was talking to, according to the report.

She said he "has been seeing other females," yet "always denies it," according to the report.

As the argument turned physical, the husband's mother called 911. Jack told deputies she may have been struck in the face during the fight but did not want to press charges.

Deputies ruled her the primary aggressor in the argument.

The Department of Corrections learned about the arrest Monday morning, said spokesman JoEllyn Rackleff, but it's too early to say whether the arrest will affect Jack's employment.

"We will look into the situation and watch as law enforcement and judicial processes progress," said Rackleff. "There may be other action by us. Until we see the arrest report and learn more from law enforcement, I can't say what will happen to her."

Jack was hired by the Department of Corrections in 1995. She worked in Clearwater for the 6th Circuit Court.

Her employment record was not available Monday.
