TAMPA — A man shot in the parking lot of a 56th Street pub last week died Saturday of his injuries, the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Peter Hyman, 28, of 5617 E 122nd Ave., was shot about 3:15 a.m. Friday outside the Tally Ho Pub, 7402 N 56th St.

The Sheriff's Office wants the public's help in finding a man who was there that night and seen in a surveillance video. Detectives don't know whether he was the shooter but would like to interview him, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter.

The shooter was described as a black man with a light complexion, in his early 20s, 5 feet 10, 170 to 180 pounds, clean shaven with a medium build. He wore a red baseball cap, red shirt, black jeans and white tennis shoes.

The shooting came after an argument among a group of people at the pub. Afterward, the victim was shot while sitting in his car.

The shooter may have fled the scene in a 1990s black Cadillac Escalade.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
