Brooksville

Three suspects at large in morning home invasion

Hernando County deputies are searching for three men suspected in a Tuesday morning home invasion in Brooksville.

Authorities said a woman returned to her home in the 8100 block of Nightwalker Road around 7:30 a.m. and discovered an unknown man in her garage. While the woman was calling 911, two other men ran out of the house, jumped into a van and headed north on Nightwalker.

The woman's 13-year-old son was at home when the men entered and managed to escape, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies describe the suspects as black men, all in their early 20s. Two of the men had shaved heads, one had dreadlocks and two of the men were armed with handguns. They fled in a white Ford cargo van with a Florida tag.

Anyone with information regarding this case should call the Hernando County Sheriff's Office at (352) 754-6830.

Spring Hill

Man accused of sex with teenage girl

Deputies have arrested a 37-year-old Spring Hill man on 20 counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a teenage girl.

James Thomas Blackman of 9472 River Road was booked into the Hernando County Jail on Monday evening with no bail. He also faces charges of sex offense and violation of an injunction for protection against domestic violence.

According to the arrest report, Blackman is accused of having sex with the girl at least 10 times a month between Feb. 14 and Nov. 12. The girl was 16 at the time of the alleged crime.

The girl made two recorded phone calls Monday to Blackman. During the calls, Blackman allegedly admitted to past sexual activity with the teen, which violated a previous court order issued by a Hernando County judge.

After his arrest, Blackman denied having any contact with the girl since his release from jail in January.

The rule to always follow: Shoot first, then call 911, then get mad because these idiots are bleeding all over your floors. Then kick them for that.

jimmy..you are a dumb a@#..What makes you think it is ok for a 37yr old man to have a sexual relationship with a 16 year old. She isn't even an adult... That is just sick. Do us a favor..don't breed. The world has enough idiots.

Why are we judging Jim for a private relationship? Isn't this just legislating morality? This is like 1703 and the Salem witch trials. Do we really want government in the bedroom? Etc., etc. and all the other arguements we hear from the leftists.
