Authorities apprehend Oldsmar teenager wanted in connection to stabbings

PORT RICHEY — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a pair of stabbings that occurred last month.

Nicholas Eady, 17, has been charged with one count of attempted murder, though investigators say he'll likely be charged with more crimes.

On July 8, at 7435 Fairfax Drive in Port Richey, a 17-year-old was stabbed in the throat and Joshua Febus, 18, was stabbed in the back, according to Pasco County sheriff's officials. The Times is withholding the younger victim's name because he is a juvenile.

Investigators believe Eady, of 5432 Baywater Drive in Oldsmar, stabbed the pair and fled to Georgia soon after. He recently returned and was arrested Friday at Gulf View Square Mall.

Authorities say a fight led to the stabbing.
