Authorities investigating Largo ice cream store robbery

LARGO — Authorities are searching for an armed man they say robbed an ice cream store Friday evening.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, a masked man armed with a gun went to Nick and Niki's Creamery, 11500 Walsingham Road, at about 8:45 p.m. Friday.

The man pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

Authorities have not released a more detailed description of the suspect, but asks that anyone with information call the Sheriff's Office at (727)582-6200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
