Authorities looking for suspect who put card skimmers at Hillsborough ATMs

TAMPA — Authorities are looking for a suspect they said placed skimming devices to steal credit card information from the ATMs at three SunTrust banks in east Hillsborough County, Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay said.

Between Thursday and Monday, the suspect, a while male, attached skimming devices to the ATM card readers at the banks at 9601 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa; 403 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon; and 3511 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico, authorities said. He also placed a long, thin silver box with a camera above the keypad to record customers' key strokes when they enter their Personal Identification Number, authorities said.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information can call 1 (800) 873-8477.
