Authorities seek man who robbed two Hillsborough banks within 90 minutes

TAMPA — Authorities are looking for a man they believe robbed two banks within 90 minutes Monday morning.

The first happened around 9:15 a.m. at Regions Bank at 11804 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. After giving the teller a note, he ran away with an undisclosed amount of money, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

The second happened at 10:41 a.m. at Bank of America at 249 S Hyde Park Ave. He handed a teller a note and the teller gave him money with a dye pack inside. But he gave back the dye pack, Tampa police said.

Authorities said the robber is a man in his 30s with a thin build, last seen wearing white pants, a light blue shirt, white tennis shoes and a white cap.

Anyone with information on the crimes can call the Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200 or Tampa police at (813) 276-3200.
