TAMPA — Police were searching for two men on Monday morning who robbed the Baymont Inn at 3001 University Center Drive around 2 a.m.
Police said two masked man walked into the hotel. On pointed a gun at the inn's night clerk, 55-year-old Deborah Dixon, and the other jumped the counter and took all the money from a drawer.
The two men ran out, police said, but the night clerk didn't hear them leave in a car.
Patrol units, canine patrol units and air service came to the scene to search for the men, but were not able to find them.
Police said no one was injured in the robbery.
