Beach armed robbery suspect arrested at his Madeira Beach home

MADEIRA BEACH — Deputies arrested a man they accuse of robbing three Pinellas beach businesses this month.

David Arthur Perkins, 58, robbed a Madeira Beach Walgreens store, the Amish Creamery cream shop and a North Redington Beach Sunoco between Aug. 2 and Thursday, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department.

Wearing a dark zippered jacket with a hood to hide his face, Perkins pulled a gun from a briefcase and demanded cash, authorities said.

He was charged with three counts of armed robbery early Saturday morning at his home, 13407 Boca Ciega Ave., in Madeira Beach. Investigators did not say how they identified Perkins as the robber.

Perkins remains in Pinellas County Jail on $150,000 bail.
