A mother shot her daughter in the hip during an argument Wednesday evening, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies were called about 5:15 p.m. to 1009 Lochmont Drive in Brandon, where Marcia Rembert, 47, was arguing with her 27-year-old daughter Dominique Foster. The disagreement escalated, and Rembert picked up a handgun and shot Foster once in the hip, deputies said.
Foster was taken to Tampa General Hospital. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Rembert was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was being held without bail on Thursday.
