HUDSON — A Brooksville man who drove at a Pasco County sheriff's deputy Saturday night is now wanted for attempted homicide of a law enforcement officer, authorities said.

Two deputies spotted the car of 26-year-old J'Rokton Williams, wanted on multiple felony warrants, at a Domino's Pizza in Hudson about 10 p.m.

The deputies pulled up behind his light purple, chameleon-colored Infiniti. One approached Williams about his outstanding warrants.

Williams, authorities said, put his car in reverse, accelerated toward the deputy and sped away.

"Our deputy fired his weapon toward the vehicle to disable it," spokeswoman Melanie Snow said. "Unfortunately, he did continue to elude."

The Sheriff's Office is now looking for Williams, who they said also was wanted on a prior fleeing and eluding charge. Investigators ask anyone with information to call 1-800-706-2488.

"He certainly is a threat, not just to our deputies but to our community," Snow said.
