RIDGE MANOR — Hernando County sheriff's deputies arrested a Brooksville woman after she was accused of stealing several thousand dollars from the convenience store where she worked by hiding cash in her bra.

Over the course of 17 shifts between May 26 and June 25, Kristina Nicole Brown, 29, took about $4,500 from the Circle K at 35075 Cortez Blvd., according to an arrest report. Brown told deputies she would hide cash in her shirt and bra while bending over as if she were putting money in the safe.

The least she stole during a shift was about $110; the most was just under $500, according to the report.

Deputies arrested her Tuesday on fraud charges and booked her into the Hernando County Detention Center. She was released after posting $5,000 bail.
