CITRUS SPRINGS — A man is dead and his stepson is hospitalized with stab wounds after a domestic disturbance Sunday, authorities said.
Just after 4 p.m., the Citrus County Sheriff's Office was called to a domestic disturbance at 2250 W Summer Place.
When deputies arrived, they found Harold Gene Brown, 69, dead from knife wounds. Brown's stepson — Michael Staton, 56 — was also there and suffered stab wounds, the Sheriff's Office said. Staton was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
The Sheriff's Office said Brown's wife, who is Staton's biological mother, was also at the home.
Investigators did not say who they believe stabbed whom.
Detectives and crime scene technicians were at the home Sunday evening, the Sheriff's Office said, and a homicide investigation was under way.
