Clearwater man, 35, accused of sexual battery on 13-year-old girl

CLEARWATER — Clearwater police arrested a man accused of sexual battery on a 13-year-old girl Sunday night.

Police say the 13-year-old girl went to a residence to meet with the nephew of Gabriel Moreno-Flores, 35. When she arrived, the nephew was not home and Moreno-Flores forced the girl into his bedroom.

According to police, Moreno-Flores then sexually battered the girl against her will.

The girl's mother contacted police when she learned what happened. Officers responded and arrested Moreno-Flores.

Moreno-Flores remained in Pinellas County Jail Monday morning, held on a $50,000 bond.
