CLEARWATER — A 53-year-old man was arrested Thursday on charges that he was running a prostitution ring from his condo, police said.

James Raymond Tucker faces charges of deriving proceeds from prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Clearwater Police Department began an investigation two months ago when they received several complaints from residents at the Hillcrest Villas, 24862 U.S. 19 N, that several men and women had been visiting Tucker's condo at Unit 2401.

Investigators discovered that Tucker had placed more than 60 online advertisements for prostitution services from different women. He was arrested when an undercover detective arranged a meeting at the condo with a woman Thursday.

The Department of Homeland Security also assisted with the investigation.

Tucker was taken to the Pinellas County jail.
