Clearwater police arrest 13 in roundup

The Clearwater Police Department began a roundup of fugitives Thursday night, making 13 arrests, most of them on drug charges. The sweep targeted about 150 suspects with felony arrest warrants and was done in partnership with the Florida Department of Corrections. "We want to send a clear message that Clearwater is not a place to hide when you're facing felony charges," Clearwater police Chief Anthony Holloway said in a statement. Arrested suspects were processed at a command bus at the Light of Christ Catholic Church at 2176 Marilyn St. in Clearwater.
