CLEARWATER — As part of a two-night crackdown, Clearwater police arrested 15 people this week on prostitution charges.

The operation was conducted Thursday and Friday nights in an area bordered by Missouri and Highland avenues and Drew and Court streets.

Police were responding to complaints of crime from area residents and business owners.

Seven women were arrested Thursday on charges of prostitution, and eight men — including a juvenile — were arrested Friday on charges of solicitation.
