Dade City man, 61, accused of having child porn

DADE CITY — A 61-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on charges of possessing child pornography.

On a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, deputies went to the home of John William McAllister, 37408 Desrosier Road, where they found child pornography on his computer, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report states. The photos depicted children between the ages of 6 and 14, the report says.

According to the report, McAllister told deputies he'd saved the photos on his computer more than a year before the arrest.

McAllister was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography. He remained Thursday at the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
