Police look for man in Wachovia robbery

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a Wachovia Bank in downtown Dade City about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The man, who is estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old, indicated to the teller that he had a weapon and demanded money, said Capt. David Duff, of the Dade City Police Department.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Duff said. No one was injured at the bank, at 14210 Seventh St.

The man is between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 8 and weighs about 160 pounds. He wore a green shirt, jeans and a khaki hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tony Richardson at (352) 521-1495.
