HOLIDAY — A 30-year-old woman is accused of stabbing her mother in the arm during an argument.
Niema Chantelle Jones attacked her mother Sunday afternoon, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report states. The mother was treated at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey. The daughter was found about a mile from the house, her face and dress splattered with blood, the Sheriff's Office said. Jones "admitted stabbing towards the victim" and said she did it in "self defense," the report states. Authorities did not say what the fight was about.
Jones, of Holiday, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. She remained Monday at the Pasco jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
