Deputies arrested five teenagers in connection with a number of armed burglaries in southeast Hillsborough County.

Just before 5 a.m. Tuesday, deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office followed a black Kia SUV that had been linked to vehicle break-ins.

A traffic stop at 50th Street South and Adamo Drive in East Tampa led to the arrest of five people, Emonte Bentley and Antonio Robinson, both 19; Bernard Parker and Christopher Brown, both 18, and a 15-year-old boy. Deputies also found two stolen handguns, a shotgun and currency.

Each of the five suspects has been charged with nine counts of armed burglary of conveyance, three counts of grand theft firearm, five counts of grand theft third degree and two counts of petit theft.

The 15-year-old also is charged with resisting an officer without violence and failure to appear at a court hearing.
