ST. PETERSBURG — Pinellas County deputies arrested a Clearwater man Monday in a bank robbery last week.
Police said Chris James Fabrizio, 43, passed a note to a teller at GTE Federal Credit Union, 4584 38th Ave. N, Wednesday afternoon implying he had a gun and demanding money, though no weapon was seen.
Authorities sought the public's help in finding Fabrizio, who, they said, left the bank in a white Dodge Colt. A tip sent sheriff's detectives with a warrant to the Aday Motel, 501 S Bayview Blvd., in Oldsmar at 7 p.m. Monday, where Fabrizio was arrested. He was held in Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Jail records show Fabrizio was arrested Feb. 19 on an oxycodone possession charge.
