BRANDON — Authorities arrested the man they said attacked and robbed a woman outside a movie theater Tuesday after he was caught on video using her credit card at nearby stores, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Detectives identified Ja'Marcus Da'Sha Russ, 19, of Brandon as the man who robbed Barbara Orebaugh, 62, at Regency Square. Authorities said Russ approached her near the movie theater and tried to take her purse, but when she didn't let go, Russ pushed her to the ground and punched and kicked her before fleeing with her purse.

Russ was later captured on surveillance video making purchases with her credit card, the Sheriff's Office said. He used her credit card to spend $865.48 at a Walmart and $46.29 at a Mobil station, authorities said. He then tried to make a purchase of $1,998.05 at a Kmart and another for $4.70 at Mobil, but both were declined.

Russ faces charges of robbery greater than $300, five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card over $100 and fraudulent use of a credit card less than $100.

Country music has a dude problem.
