NEW PORT RICHEY — Deputies say they found the 13-year-old boy armed.
He had broken into a home at 6324 Tralee Ave., and snatched up knives and pepper spray, a Pasco Sheriff's report states. With something sharp, he etched into a wall his allegiance to a gang: Bloods.
Deputies talked with the boy's friends who said he told them he was a gang member and they had last seen him with a full backpack.
The deputies caught up to the boy, squatting in a vacant home where they found $500 worth of stolen goods, the report states. The boy, who is not being named due to his age, was arrested and taken to the Pasco Juvenile Detention Center on charges of armed burglary and criminal mischief.
