Deputies find body in burning Brandon trash bin

BRANDON — Deputies say they found a body inside a burning trash bin early Tuesday.

Someone called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office around 2 a.m. after seeing the fiery trash bin behind the Florida Orthopaedic Institute at 305 E Brandon Blvd.

County firefighters put out the flames and discovered a body inside.

The identity was not known. No more information has been released.

On April 6, the body of James Toney, 56, was found in a Hillsborough County trash bin after a passer-by noticed feet sticking out of a Dumpster behind a closed bar at 1947 W Main St. That discovery launched a homicide investigation and three arrests.
