ZEPHYRHILLS — Deputies say an elderly man was possibly shot with a flare gun Tuesday morning during a robbery.
It happened at 4425 Transue Drive at about 9 a.m. Deputies said the incident may have been drug-related.
Deputies first reported that the shooting injuries were not serious, but now say it's not clear whether the man was shot at all.
However, the man was beaten and taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
