Deputies: Holiday retiree sexually abused girl for years

HOLIDAY — A Pasco retiree accused of sexually abusing a young girl for years was arrested Tuesday.

The girl, now 9, told deputies that Richard Williams, 67, had sexually assaulted her since she was 5, sometimes showing her pornographic videos of a teenage girl and an old man, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

He told her not to tell anyone about the abuse, or she would be in trouble and he would go to jail, the report said.

The girl's name and relationship to Williams were withheld due to the nature of the allegations.

Williams was charged with capital sexual battery of a victim younger than 12 and booked into the Land O'Lakes Jail. He is held without bail.
