Pasco investigates apparent road rage shooting

LAND O'LAKES — Pasco County detectives on Sunday continued to investigate a shooting that seemed connected to an argument between two drivers in a parking lot.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday in the lot at the Collier Commons Plaza at 2121 Collier Parkway.

A 75-year-old man shot a 51-year-old man in the shoulder, Pasco deputies said. The younger man had gotten out of his car at some point during the altercation.

"It looks like some type of road rage," sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.

Further details, including the names of the men, have not been released.

Detectives were waiting to interview the injured man, who underwent surgery and was recovering Sunday.

An arrest had not been made. More details were expected to be released today.
