LARGO — A man robbed a Largo bank Tuesday morning, pointing a gun at tellers before fleeing with cash.

Detectives are hoping the public can help identify the robber.

He walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 8700 Bryan Dairy Road about 9:40 a.m. and pointed a handgun at two employees, sheriff's officials said. He demanded cash and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot.

The man was described as black, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 190 pounds with a muscular build. During the robbery, he wore a white hooded jacket and a baseball cap with a dark-colored mask over his face, dark pants and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call Pinellas County sheriff's Detective Keith Johnson at (727) 582-6200. Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 873-TIPS.
