LUTZ — A convenience store clerk was arrested Sunday after, deputies say, he stole hundreds of lottery tickets and winning scratch-off tickets on the job.

Matthew Benjamin McDanal, 18, took 325 scratch-off tickets on Aug. 9 from the Radiant Food Store, 22826 SR 54, and threw out all the ones that weren't winning combinations, a Pasco Sheriff's report states.

McDanal also printed five lottery tickets without paying for them for a combined $4,108 loss to the store.

He was arrested on a charge of grand theft and later released on $2,000 bail.
