Deputies: Pasco woman shot at ex because of 'stupidity'

ZEPHYRHILLS — Susan N. Robbins pointed a shotgun at the feet of her on-again, off-again boyfriend and fired, hitting the dirt six inches from his toes, according to the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

Robbins, 48, told deputies that Jackson L. Prescott, 58, "had a long history of abusing and lying" and she didn't want the new woman in his life to get hurt.

The shooting happened Monday afternoon outside Prescott's home on 39631 Louise Drive.

Prescott – who served five stints in prison on several convictions of grand theft and aggravated battery (one on a pregnant woman) – was not hurt, but told a deputy the bullet ricocheted and cut his horse's leg.

When deputies asked Robbins why she shot at him, she replied: "stupidity."

Robbins, who is unemployed and lives at 8241 Cass Road in Zephyrhills, is charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in public. She remains at the Pasco County jail without bail.

This is her first arrest in Florida, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
