Deputies: Pedestrian died after being hit crossing Brandon street

BRANDON — Deputies have released the identity of a pedestrian who was hit by a car Friday night and died Monday.

Stefanie Northrop, 33, of 1401 Kings Ave. was walking north across Causeway Boulevard at Providence Road when a 2009 Honda hit her, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said Northrop was in a crosswalk during a solid green traffic light.

The driver, Darryl Ciliberto, 54, of 418 East Greco Drive was heading west in the center lane of Causeway Boulevard.

After the crash, Northrop was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where she died Monday, deputies said.
