Deputies: Riverview man placed camera in Brandon Starbucks restroom

BRANDON — A Riverview man installed a camera in a Starbucks bathroom, deputies said.

Last month, a manager at the store in the Westfield Brandon mall discovered a camera attached to a pipe under the sink in a unisex bathroom. She called the Sheriff's Office and turned over the camera.

Detectives watched the video and saw that the camera had apparently been recording as the suspect walked to his car and opened its trunk. The license plate was visible, deputies say.

On Wednesday, deputies arrested Eric Efaw, 33, of Forest Mere Drive, and charged him with voyeurism.

They say he admitted placing the camera in the restroom and said that he had done so about six or seven times over the past two months.
