Deputies search for man who robbed east Hillsborough Circle K

LITHIA — Deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Circle K store with a knife Thursday night.

He walked into the Circle K at 10520 Highway 39 S just after 11 p.m. and demanded money and cigarettes from two clerks, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The clerks handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the man brandishing the knife, and he left the store.

The robber is described as a white man, age 18 to 22, 130 to 150 pounds with a thin build. Authorities said he was wearing a white knit hat with an "Independent" logo, a black bandana over his face, a black T-shirt with white letters, dark blue gloves with black wristband, a black rag wrapped around his right forearm, long blue jean shorts and white tennis shoes.
