TAMPA — Deputies are searching for a man they say took a Valentine's Day trip to Blockbuster Video that ended in a robbery.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office got an arrest warrant for William Henry Welland, Jr. on Monday.
Welland is accused of walking into Blockbuster at 7717 W Hillsborough Ave. just before midnight on Feb. 14 and browsing. Deputies say he eventually walked up to the register, showed the clerks a gun and demanded money and their personal items.
He took their belongings, money from the register and several movies, the Sheriff's Office said.
Welland, 27, is white, 6-3 and 212 pounds with short brown hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos. He has a cross tattooed on his neck with the letters A, D and R, a tribal band on his right arm, "thug" on his right forearm, "life" on his left forearm and a scar on his forehead.
