Deputies seek gunman who stole narcotics from Brandon Walgreens

BRANDON — Deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying a gunman accused of holding up a Walgreens pharmacy for pills.

The man entered the Walgreens at 128 E Brandon Blvd. around 6:30 p.m. Sunday and walked to the pharmacy counter. He pulled a black revolver and demanded narcotics pills, officials said. Then he leaped over the counter and forced open a locked cabinet, pulled out the pills, put them into a plastic bag and took off, deputies said.

The man was caught on surveillance video. He appears to be between 50 and 64 years old, and was last seen wearing a blue-and-white striped shirt, beige baseball cap, white towel wrapped around the sides of his neck, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
