Deputies seek men who stole $21,000 in clothing from Macy's

TAMPA — Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies want the public's help in identifying two men they say shoplifted more than $20,000 in Polo brand men's clothing this week from a Macy's store at University Mall.

The men were caught on surveillance video as they walked into the store about 10 a.m. Monday and sauntered up to a closed register. They took six plastic bags from behind the register, then walked through the store, stuffing the bags with clothing, deputies said.

They walked out of the store and fled in a black two-door car, taking with them about $21,000 in merchandise, deputies said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
